My mother has been using the Med Ready Automatic Pill Dispenser for a year now and it has been a lifesaver - she has early Alzheimer's and depends on this for her daily pills. She stays with me 4 days a week and sometimes the luggage packing, the long drive to her home and back, and general confusion is overwhelming to me. Yesterday was one of those days and in the rushing I didn't pack her pill dispenser but hand carried it to the car and put in on the roof to load mom and her things. Yep, I drove off with it on the roof and one mile later heard a noise and looked in my mirror to see her dispenser flying and hitting the road. It flew 10 feet up and out and landed in the middle of a very busy road. Except for some dings and scratches on the cover and body, and a broken battery cover latch it thankfully still works. To quote "it takes a licking and keeps on ticking!" Karen K.

I wish they would make an alarm that is lower in frequency for us hard to hear folks. Unless I have my hearing aids in, I cannot hear the high pitched alarm. I realize they make a blinking light unit, but I took a chance on being able to hear the alarm.

Purchased for elderly early-dementia patient. She used it while in independent living, and is continuing to use it in assisted living, thus saving the cost of nurse-administered meds. This has worked beautifully for her twice-a-day meds. She has peace-of-mind that she will not forget, and we caregivers have the same confidence. The lock assures that she will not accidentally take extra doses. Very easy to set up and monitor.
