Safety Turtle Swimming Pool Alarm System

The Safety Turtle Swimming Pool Alarm System is used to detect when a child or pet enters a body of water. This water can be your pool, a neighbor's pool or even a lake. The Safety Turtle pool alarm system consists of a base unit, a gate alarm sensor, a wristband and a pet adapter (all sold separately).

To use this equipment, place the base unit in your home, and attach a wristband with a baby turtle plug to your child's wrist, or your pet's collar. This wristband is secured with a locking key (provided). When the child or family pet enters the pool, the alarm will sound alerting you to the situation. Any number of Turtles of the same color can be used with one Base Station. If a close neighbor also uses Safety Turtle, use different colored wristbands to avid frequency interference.

This Wireless Gate Alarm has an adult bypass feature. Children will set the alarm off while adults will not.
Note: The Safety Turtle Gate Sensor is sold by itself. A Safety Turtle Base Station is required to sound the alarm.

Safety Turtle Wireless Gate Alarm Sensor

To demonstrate the Safety Turtle:

Be sure the Base Station is in active mode, not test mode. If the green and amber lights are on, press the moon-shaped button on the base unit. The green light only indicates active mode.
Slowly submerge the turtle in water until it sounds the alarm.
To lower the volume of the alarm, press the moon-shaped button on the Base Station.
To stop the alarm, dry the Turtle. Shake it and use a tissue or napkin to wipe around the edges. Do not unplug the Base Station while it is alarming.
If using the Turtle Battery Pack be sure the unit is charged.

To demonstrate the Safety Turtle Wireless Gate Alarm:

Be sure the Base Station is in active mode, not test mode. If the green and amber lights are on, press the moon-shaped button on the base station. The Green light only indicates the unit is in active mode.
The alarm will not sound at the required decibels in test mode.
Separate the reed switch from the activation magnet until the base station alarms.
You can lower the volume of the alarm by pressing the moon-shaped button on the Base Station.
To stop the alarm, re-attach (Velcro) the reed switch and activation magnet. Do not unplug the Base Station while it is alarming.

To demonstrate the Adult Bypass Switch on the Wireless Gate Alarm (white button on the top of the unit):

The amber light on top of the wireless gate alarm should be illuminated.
Separate the reed switch from the activation magnet, the Base Station should not alarm until the light on the top of the Gate Alarm goes off (approximately 11 seconds).
To stop the alarm, reattach (Velcro) the reed switch and activation magnet.
If using the Turtle Power battery pack, be sure it's charged.

Warranty: The Manufacturer's warranty period is 12 months from Consumer's date of purchase of Base Station, Gate Alarm or accessory; and 6 months from date of purchase of Turtle Wristband, or 30 months after the date code stamped on the Turtle and clamshell card, whichever is earlier. Proof of purchase must be provided
