Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) is pressure needed to maintain an open airway in a sleep apnea patient treated with CPAP. It is expressed in centimeters of water (cm H20). The positive pressure can range from 5 - 20 cm H20. Different patients require different pressures. The value is determined in a CPAP titration study.

Optional Integrated Heated Humidifier (A16142 02)

The integrated heated humidifier option rounds out the Everest ^® CPAP system. The heated humidifier integrates completely into the CPAP. The humidifier's docking bay slides directly onto the bottom of the CPAP unit, providing the electrical connection for the system. The humidifier heating is controlled via the humidifier button on the CPAP.

Clinical research has shown that CPAP patients tend to be more compliant with the addition of heated humidity. The Optional Integrated Heated Humidifier provides just enough water for one night's use, and the reservoir is simple to fill and clean.

Optional Integrated Battery (A16142 03)

Don't be confined by AC outlet accessibility! The Everest ^® 2 CPAP System is the only one on the market today available with an optional integrated battery. You can use it whenever power is unavailable or difficult to reach. The battery serves as seamless back-up to loss of wall power.

With the optional integrated, rechargeable battery, there's no need to worry about the location of the closest power outlet or the fear of an inadvertent power outage. This battery will keep the system functional for hours without household current.

Optional Mobile Power Adapter (A16142 04)

Make those cigarette lighters good for something. The optional Mobile Power Adapter will run the CPAP with heated humidification and recharge the battery while you're out and about. Use it with your car, boat, RV - or 18-wheeler!
