Thermotex Infrared Heating Pad
Thermotex ™ Infrared Heating Pads are a convenient, portable therapy system that you can use at home, in the office, or on vacation to provide effective temporary pain relief wherever and whenever you need it. These heating pads use a alternative type of heating called far infrared heat therapy, or FIR Therapy, which provides a deep penetrating, comfortable heat.
All systems come with covers featuring adjustable Velcro fasteners and are machine washable. Face covers are 100% nylon and back covers consist of a 50/50 nylon-cotton blend. All systems come with hi-low power settings. On the low setting, after full heat up, the micron range holds steady at 9.1376 based on surface temperatures of 111°F. On the high setting, the micron range is 9.1089 to 8.7778 based on the range of surface temperatures of 113°F to 135°F. The infrared elements themselves are not flexible and should never be bent.

What is Far Infrared Heat Therapy?
Far Infrared is a band of light that we perceive as heat. Infrared rays heat your body without having to heat the air between through a process called conversion. Most of the sun's energy output is in the form of infrared heat. Infrared is divided into three segments: near, middle, and far. Only far infrared can penetrate organic substances like the human body up to 2 - 3 inches to provide uniform heat. For this reason, the Thermotex™ Infrared Heating Pad uses FIR therapy to safely and effectively warm your body.
What does Infrared do?
Through the absorption of infrared thermal energy, tissues are safely and gently heated increasing blood flow within the treated area. Your body’s natural response to this increased temperature is to try to maintain a condition of homeostasis—a balanced environment or state of equilibrium throughout the body. To do this, your body responds with a rapid increase in blood flow to the area. Thermotex produces infrared heating to provide deep penetrating warmth for temporary relief of acute and chronic pain.
